This collection includes virtually every published paper written up to circa 1932 and many thereafter, but does not include papers published only in English or whole Books authored by Einstein. (These items are generally conveniently available; and, of course, already in English.) A bibliography of publications in English is included.
This set should be of particular convenience to anyone who:
1.) does not read German, French and Spanish; or,
2.) does not have easy access to a research library;
or,
3.) does not have the considerable patience, time or
money needed to overcome these obstacles.
Similarly, it should be of general interest to anyone
concerned with the development of theoretical physics. Einstein was
the central originator of Relativity Theory, and a vigorous contributor
to Quantum Mechanics, as well as virtually the very first critic
of the "Copenhagen interpretation." Any physicist with the aspiration
of being well informed, will welcome this convenient means to read what
he has written, so as not just to be aware of it vaguely by hearsay.
